Description
Elpida (Emamectin) belongs to naturally occurring Avermectin group of insecticide and is good for controlling chewing pests such as bollworms in cotton and fruit and shoot borers in okra.
Mode of Action:
Chloride channel activator.
Acts on nerve cells to suppress muscle contraction, causing a continuous flow of Chlorine ions in the GABA and H-Glutamate receptor sites.
The insect is paralyzed and stops feeding.
